Happy Tenth Anniversary to Hasbara Fellowships!
Dear Friends & Fellow Hasbara Alumni,
Many of you have fond memories of our time on Hasbara Fellowships as I do, and I wanted to take this opportunity to ask you to consider Hasbara Fellowships when giving tzedaka this year, as I have. In my time since going on the trip, my life has gone topsy turvy (in the best ways possible).
While in Israel on the trip, I made the personal decision that my chosen career path of IT just wasn\'t cutting it in terms of my personal goals, and I set out to make a career in Jewish communal service. I have gone on to work with Jewish Teens with NCSY (in Indianapolis of all places!) and also worked as a member of AEPi\'s travelling staff. In my time with AEPi visiting campuses
I saw how truly vital and important Hasbara Fellowships\' mission is for the future of Israel advocacy on campus, and ultimately, for a secure existence for Israel. In my five years with AEPi I saw and heard of difficulties that our students were having on campuses combating anti-Israel propaganda, falsehoods, and even rising anti- Semitic sentiments.
Wherever I went, wherever the situation was the most difficult, and wherever I met students (both AEPi and otherwise) who were working to fight these problems where they cropped up, I found fellow Hasbara Alumni, leading the charge to make sure that these attacks on our beloved Israel would not go unchecked.
I know how much Hasbara alumni benefit from our Hasbara training, as did our campuses and our communities later in life. I am doing my own part financially to ensure that more students, more campuses, and more communities can continue to benefit from the amazing work that Hasbara Fellowships is doing to protect our land, which belongs to all of us, and preserve it for all future generations. Please consider doing the same in any amount you can.
Warm Regards,
Sam Zitin
