Happy Tenth Anniversary to Hasbara Fellowships! Dear Friends & Fellow Hasbara Alumni,
Although I have been to Israel many times, I only recently became active in pro-Israel advocacy on campus. As a transfer student at a new school, I was shocked by the anti-Israel demonstrations and speakers on my campus. I knew that I needed to stand up for Israel and joined our campus group, Great Danes for Israel, where I met other Hasbara Fellows and quickly realized how much of an impact we could make, together.
This past winter break, I participated in the Hasbara training program in Israel. The immense amount of knowledge and communication skills I gained in such a short time prepared me to proactively defend Israel on campus. The trip exposed me to experts on the Arab-Israeli conflict, politics, and journalists from varying perspectives that I\'d never have had the opportunity to learn from. The educational classes prepared me and made me feel confidant in my knowledge and advocacy to get the job done fighting on Israel\'s behalf.
While the training was amazing and the pro-Israel events we plan on campus are important, I will remain an activist for the rest of my lifetime. The situations we face today on campus will require another generation of Israel\'s ambassadors to step up to the plate. By supporting Hasbara Fellowships you\'ll be strengthening the pro-Israel movement and adding more voices for Israel.
I am proud to be a Co-Chair in Hasbara Fellowships\' Tenth Anniversary Campaign and encourage you to join me in supporting the next generation of student leaders to become strong, inspired pro-Israel activists.
Thank you,
Daniel Amster
