'Help Support the Netanya Foundation\'s Hoops for Kids Program'

Help us raise funds for Netanya Hoops for Kids Your donation is tax-deductible in the USA We urgently need to renovate an afternoon club at a cost of $55,000 Please join us in this campaign!! Netanya Foundation:$15,000 The Kids Connect Charitable Fund:$10,000 We need $30,000!!! Disadvantaged children in grades 1-5 come everyday after school to the afternoon club ( moadonit ) in the Ben Zion neighborhood in Netanya. They receive a hot meal ( the only one of the day ), assistance with their homework, enrichment activities including basketball workouts twice a month. For these children the moadonit is a safe, warm environment where they receive love and care that enables them to develop and grow.

The moadonit is in dire need of renovation and we must provide our children with an esthetic and suitable atmosphere..

Netanya Hoops for Kids matches the professional basketball players from Barak Netanya with children/teenagers in Netanya. Become our partner and join us in raising money to help this worthy cause! To date, the Netanya Hoops for Kids program has provided Netanya youth with over 10,000 tickets for Barak Netanya basketball games. On game day, kids who attend the games are allowed to join their role models on the court and participate in the pre-game player introductions. After school hours, these players meet with the at risk children to impart to them a set of tools: These include basic basketball skills such as dribbling, passing and shooting. All this translates into teamwork, which, on the basketball court as in life, requires life skills and values such as mutual respect, communication, goal setting, discipline and healthy life style. Netanya Hoops for Kids donates school supplies, basketballs and team shirts to after-school programs intended to keep kids off the street, raise their self-esteem and give them a sense of purpose. In addition, some funds have been used to buy training shirts for at risk children practicing with the Maccabi Netanya Tennis center. The program also encompasses supporting school visits, youth leagues and clinics, renovation of after school clubs and capitalizing on the media surrounding Barak Netanya to raise community awareness and recruit volunteers for the benefit of at risk youth.
