Dolev Homes for Youth End of the Year Giving
Each dollar will be matched by an anonymous donor!
New Dolev Homes for Youth dorms in Jerusalem provide supervised living arrangements for some 70 Haredi girls between the ages of 14 and 22 who come from dysfunctional families in Israel and abroad. They include Haredi high school girls who have little or no support, emotionally or financially, from their biological families. These dormitories, patterned after the successful dormitory and transition homes for Ulpanat Dolev graduates initiated in 1990, include religious studies, individual and group therapy, vocational courses and personal and business coaching in the afternoon and evening hours.
We of Dolev Homes for Youth at Risk are focusing this “End of the Year Giving” campaign on behalf of our unique Midresehet Dolev program - an international group served at one of Dolev Homes’ shelters in Jerusalem for English-speaking girls (ages 19-22) who have arrived in Israel from the United States, Great Britain, France, Australia and other Anglo countries with limited Hebrew skills. These students have no families to help finance their studies, dental care, therapies, etc. The staff of this dorm, Midreshet Dolev, helps to rebuild the young women’s self-esteem, motivation to succeed, and even assist in securing a “shidduch” and help with wedding plans!
We hope you will partner with us in our End of the Year Giving campaign for special therapy, academic and vocational training scholarships for these needy students. An anonymous donor from New York will match all funds donated by December 30, up to $10,000. These funds would allow us to introduce needed therapy and dental treatments for our girls immediately.
Every donation will help us reach our goal.
